"One Night in Denver" has long been considered one of the great live releases in the John Stewart catalog. Hard as it is to believe, it just got better.
This live show from 1987 was the first complete recording released from the famous collection of John's demos and tapes known as "The Box That Ate Mt. Clemens". However, when this CD was first released, it had to be edited to fit the playing time of CDs. Luckily for all JS fans, CDs today can hold a little more music so the show can now be released in it's complete form.
That means a great live version of John's Kingston Trio classic "Hit and Run" is now included along with more of John's hilarious comedy bits and stage banter between songs.
The ONID band includes Dave Batti, John Hoke, Dennis Kenmore and some killer sax by Brian Haymer.
Tom DeLisle recently said that this is the only version of ONID to own. This is the one that captures the greatnes of that show.
