Havana is John's brilliant new studio CD. Released by Appleseed Records, Havana is receiving
rave reviews. John has updated and expanded on the Havana cassette that he released privately in 1998.
This new Havana CD features all new recordings and additional songs. John is backed by Buffy on vocals,
Dave Batti on bass, John Hoke and Dennis Kenmore on drums and Noelle Ford on viola.
This CD features the first ever recording of "Star in the Black Sky Shining". John has said that if he
had to choose only one of his songs to sing "Star" would be the song. "Cowboy in the Distance", "Who Stole
the Soul of Johnny Dreams" and "Waiting for Castro to Die" are just three of the other great songs on this
CD that many fans are comparing to "Punch the Big Guy" and "Cannons in the Rain" as one of John's all time
best!
And you have to hear John's version of "Lucky Old Sun". This standard was originally recorded by Frankie
Laine and Ray Charles, but John absolutely nails it. The weathered tone in his voice on this one is just
perfect.
John has also included some classic Stewart rockers like "Rock 'N Roll Nation". This CD should be played
LOUD. So, what are you waiting for? Pick up a copy of Havana today!
