The 2008 Trio Fantasy Camp 9 was also a Tribute to it's founder, legendary singer/songwriter John Stewart. This DVD features wonderful
performances of many of John's best songs by the musicians that knew him the best - the John Stewart Band (Dave Batti, Chuck McDermott, John Hoke,
Dennis Kenmore, Dave Crossland and Bob Hawkins). Special guest Buffy Ford Stewart joins the band for several songs and there is also a
performance by the Kingston Space Monkees (Henry Diltz, Chip Douglas and Bill Mumy). These performances alone are worth the price of the DVD.
And, of course, the second and third DVDs contain all of the great Fantasy Camper solos and trios. This year the Campers concentrated on
singing songs written by John Stewart.
The Fantasy Camp DVDs are not professionally produced. They are made each year for the Campers but given the performances and the
significance of this year's Camp, we are making them available to John's fans everywhere. These DVDs were produced using two digital
video cameras in the audience and the audio is directly from the sound board.
There will never be another Fantasy Camp like this one. Enjoy the memories.
